iBal Rotary is a dedicated Helicopter weight and balance app for iPhone, iPad, iPod and Mac.

Designed from the ground up for professional and private helicopter pilots, it
provides for quick and easy entry of loads and checks against type-specific
weight, lateral and longitudinal CG limits, load station limits etc. Graphical
displays, mission and manifest sent by email and much more.

Add any number of your own aircraft, including preconfigured loads and photos
of your own aircraft.

Send completed CG Solutions (including manifest) and CG graphs to any email
address (internet connection required)

Configurable Name, BEW, longitudinal and lateral arms and photo for your own
aircraft (from camera or photo roll where supported).

Easy entry and adjustment of passengers, fuel, cargo and suspended loads.

Displays CG for loaded and empty fuel, critical fuel loads with and without
any suspended load.

Detects and displays weight, longitudinal and lateral CG problems. Displays
available load until limits will be exceeded.

Displays weights, arms and CG solutions in graphical and tabular formats, with
problem alerts.

Support for optional Passenger names and Flight Details which appear on the CG
solution spreadsheet and are transmitted when Send tapped. This supports new
FAA rules requiring FAR Part 135 (Air Taxi) Operators to manifest every flight
stage and for it to be transmitted back to base.

Support for Predefined Loads: user definable list of commonly carried loads
and their weights. Useful for EMS staff lists, oil rig personnel lists, common
cargo items etc. List of predefined loads can be accessed from the load edit
page to automatically enter the weight and description. The list can be
customised to include any number of your own personnel names or freight
descriptions plus the weight of each. Predefined loads can be added or removed
from your list at any time, and will not be lost when you update iBal. Loads
can be entered in your choice of suitable unit: kg, lbs, USGals, litres,
stones (also fuel % in applicable types).

Supports iPhone gestures:
Drag passengers and cargo between stations
Flick cargo and passengers off
Zoom and scroll floorplans, graphs and load sheets

Aircraft-specific Custom Load Stations, allowing you to add new or
non-standard loading positions to your own aircraft.

Displays helpful loading data, limits and hints.

Optional Alert sounds and vibration for bad solutions for easy in-flight use.

Configurable fuel SGs

Supports Apple AirPrint, Retina, iOS 5 and later on iPhone, iPad, etc.

Works with Aeronet http://www.aeronet.co.nz/ a world class maintenance, flight
and duty tracking system. Allows operators to automatically update their
Aeronet records with the flight details emailed by iBal. Reduces the time and
cost of records compliance.

Ive been using iBal now for a couple of years and have nothing but good things to say about it. Mike and the team at Airspayce are super accommodating when it comes to updating iBal with new aircraft types or configurations and are quick to fix any bugs that may be discovered. Thanks very much to the team at iBal for creating and supporting the best weight and balance program for helicopter pilots.

This app goes above and beyond in every way. Make life easy on yourself and download this app asap! There is not a more user friendly, efficient interface on the market than iBal Rotary. Aircraft not on the list?? No worries! The customer service is responsive, friendly and very accommodating. The staff added an airframe for us in a very timely manner. Our team could not be happier with this product, thanks iBal Rotary! We look forward to utilizing you for years to come.

Great way to store multiple profiles and answer a customers questions on the fly - excuse the pun...

Ive been using this app for 6 months have found it to be accurate and intuitive. Any issues that I have had were answered via email very quickly by the ibal support team. The list of choppers in ibal certainly exceeds my needs. Once my individual choppers W&B are installed the dynamic roll inputs are very easy. The updates have been appropriate usually dealing with small bugs which have been deep in the background. Definitely a recommend for any helicopter pilot. Im now looking for a fixed wing version..... Fly safe.

Well thought out app. I like the illustrated load page with the ability to drag weights to different stations; the chimes when you enter a weight that is overweight or puts you into out of CofG; the ability to add additional data such as cycles and other operational info. If I had one complaint, it would be the PDF / printed page. Can you simplify the final page into one page including the load data & longitudinal graph? It would be 5 stars in my opinion if that one complaint was redesigned.

Great app. Easy for all our pilots to use and developers are quick to add additional aircraft types for any supplemental equipment installed which may change arm locations (seats, etc.). Highly recommended.

Some bad moments

Works, but not a good interface at all. Annoying sounds every time you swipe the screen. Not user friendly at all. Certainly hope you update with A LOT of improvements for the money that I paid for this app. Would not recommend unless the price comes down significantly or there are major improvements.

With the latest update to version 1.47, iBal Rotary now crashes every time on start up on my iPhone 4. Please fix it quick.

Been using ibal for years now and enjoy it. Makes life very easy with the ability to make custom load stations.

I have used iBal for years and it is the best W&B program I have ever used, and that includes the ones I wrote myself. The speed and accuracy cannot be matched. The ability to individualize is unparalleled in my operating area. When I bring out iBal everyone just puts their computers away. There is simple no competition, there is a bunch of cheep stuff.

Usually old and tired in the aviation industry means it needs to be revitalized or scrapped... This is a bare bones and somewhat annoying app. It does the job so functional it definitely is but... Technology has moved on and the $18 price tag here isnt value for money. Take some of that cash you made and put it towards making this a great app, for me its mediocre at best but could be better... Put yourself I the shoes of some that flies a lot of different aircraft all the time an not just 1... If you want specifics, get in touch.
